FF5
tarnation, i can't take you anywhere!

The most fun I've had with a FF game so far, they reworked the job system from FF3 and it doesn't suck ass anymore.

Once again, the light warriors must defeat the incoming darkness but for me it's more than that, Exdeath makes so much sense as a villain, and his design and the design of the world or, worlds is amazing in this game.

Exdeath is one of my favorite characters from this game and so far all of Final Fantasy, he was born out of/was a tree in the forest of Moore, turned evil by the sealed spirits in the tree, and wants to harness the power of void to return the world to a state of nothingness. "I am Neo-Exdeath! All memories... dimensions... existence... All that is shall be returned to nothing. Then I, too, can disappear... forever!!!" He hates not only the reality in which he inhabits but he also hates himself, his own existence, he tries so pragmatically but so desperately to erase everything that, in his own arrogance he succumbed to the power that he tried to control, as he could not understand his reality nor his own existence.

Sorry for this I really liked this villain. As for the main characters, I'll be honest, I didn't really love their designs but I liked how they developed and the way they interacted with each other and with other characters throughout the game.

As I said before, the job system in this game is reworked from FF3 and now works much better and it's much deeper, allowing you to not only unlock many abilities from the same class but also mixing them with other classes, making unique combinations. This system worked really well for this game, it doesn't feel like just a new gimmick but a well thought out system.

The OST as always is amazing but my highlights are: Reina's Theme, Harvest, To the North Mountain, Sorrows of Parting and The Day Will Come)
